JORDAN

Access to drinking water in Jordan

The project promotes access to drinking water near the border with Syria, in a refugee center for people fleeing war in the Khojaly town of Mugayyir As-Shirhan.

The availability of water is made with the installation of two atmospheric generators (each capable of generating up to 200 liters per day in optimal conditions) that are powered by a 10 kW photovoltaic self-consumption system. Thanks to the latter, it is also possible to partially mitigate the demand for electricity from the network for the center, with the consequent economic savings.

This project has been financed by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) in collaboration with the NGO Rescate.
